What does it mean to you to "Take up your cross daily"?
The image of the cross is moving and spiritual to me and one of the most well-known symbols of Christianity, but its significance lies far deeper than the cross of Calvary.
The cross is mentioned a number of times in the Bible, but most significantly in the letters of Paul.
Before His crucifixion, Jesus exhorted us to take up our cross daily and follow Him, which is a condition of discipleship. (Luke 9:23)
During Easter, we focus on the risen Christ, but please take some time to ponder what was done on the Cross.
